GlobalLabSolutions played a pivotal role in providing state-of-the-art mobile COVID-19 testing facilities for the European Tour
GlobalLabSolutions, the laboratory division of Cignpost Diagnostics, was responsible for the development, deployment, and setup of an advanced mobile testing lab by retrofitting an existing PGA Tour vehicle. This transformation included the installation of a cleanroom, upgraded power supplies, enhanced air circulation and filtration systems, laboratory-quality lighting, and specialized surface materials to meet rigorous scientific standards.
The result was an impressive mobile laboratory capable of supporting up to five scientists and processing between 500 and 1,000 tests per day, depending on the scientific methods employed and the final configuration. Our expertise in laboratory deployment, equipment setup, and personnel management ensured the smooth operation of this mobile facility.
“If you look at the process that we have put in place with Cignpost Diagnostics it’s about decreasing risk. When they arrive at the venue everyone gets a temperature check, they also have a PCR test that’s taken and only takes 2-4 hours to get back, which is much faster than any other professional sport.”
Through our work, we have been instrumental in maintaining the European Tour’s health and safety measures, enabling the testing unit to play a key role in ensuring the safe continuation of the sport throughout the pandemic.
